I am having an issue with my molar, second tooth from the back (my wisdom teeth have been removed). It was drilled don't know if there was a cavitity or not, as the tooth was hurting when I went to the dentist for a checkup but I do grind my teeth. Currently there seems to be a big void in the tooth from drilling it. I have gone probably 4 or 5 times to the dentist for this issue. Last time I went the tooth was drilled and then filled. Seems like the dentin is exposed. Also one of the back corners of the tooth was also drilled and now is a sharp point. When my mouth is closed I can fit my tongue into that area of the tooth, the bottom and top teeth do not make a closing due to the drilling of the corner of the tooth I believe. The tooth is still sensitive after being filled. I am started using sensitivity toothpaste and flouride mouthwash but doesn't seem to be helping much. I am concerned with the problems I am having with this tooth and problems that may come up. Anybody have any thoughts?

Hi,

I have got a filling done too just last week and it has been done very well. My dentist used some composite filling and he made me close my teeth several times to see if I could close and set my teeth properly. If I couldnt he shaved off the extra filling and made it smoother till I could be absolutely comfortable with my upper and lower jaw.. Do try and see if you get remove the extra filling so that you could close your jaws smoothly.
